Within the past year, there have been significant strides made on Capitol Hill that have been beneficial to both GIs and patients — in fact, just this past week, physicians across the nation celebrated a victory, the repeal of the sustainable growth rate formula (SGR). Other milestones include a push towards transparency; the election of Rep. Bill Cassidy, R-LA, the first GI in Senate; and the introduction of the Removing Barriers to Colorectal Cancer Screening Legislation, which has bipartisan support. On the regulatory front, physicians should be preparing for value-based care, quality payment models and meaningful use.
At DDW®, join your colleagues to discuss current policy and regulatory issues that are affecting the field, including the Affordable Care Act, the Physician Quality Reporting System and more. Improving and showing quality will also be a hot topic this year — you will not want to miss these important sessions.
